Steel structure building warehouse workshop is made of steel. From beam to column, these steel workshops are designed to provide a solid warehouse, but not at the cost of traditional warehouses. This type of infrastructure is more cost-effective and lightweight, making it easier to install if you are in a hurry or have a limited budget.

The steel structure has good structural strength, good seismic performance, fire resistance, sound insulation and heat preservation performance. The supporting system is a secondary part of the steel structure building system, but it is also an essential part. What are the support systems of the steel structure warehouse workshop? Here is a brief explanation:

1. Top chord lateral horizontal support

The top chord horizontal support is generally arranged between the top chord of two adjacent roof trusses at both ends of the steel structure warehouse roof (or at both ends of each temperature section). It is located in the top chord plane of the roof truss and is arranged along the whole span of the roof truss to form a parallel chord truss, and its length of nodes is 2~4 times of the spacing of roof truss nodes. Its chord is the top chord of the roof truss, and its web member is composed of crossed diagonal members and vertical members. The cross diagonal bar is generally made of single angle steel or round steel (calculated according to the pull rod), and the vertical bar is usually made of T-section of double angle steel. When the roof truss of the steel structure workshop has purlins, the vertical bar shall be served by the purlins.

2. Bottom chord horizontal brace

The lower chord horizontal support is arranged in the same bay as the upper chord horizontal support. It also forms a parallel chord truss, which is located in the lower chord plane of the roof truss of the steel structure warehouse workshop. The chord is the bottom chord of the roof truss, and the web member is also composed of crossed diagonal members and vertical members. Its form and structure are the same as the horizontal support of the top chord. The spacing between horizontal supports should not be greater than 60m. When the temperature section is long, the upper and lower chord horizontal supports should be added in the middle.

3. Bottom chord longitudinal horizontal support

It is located between the two ends of the lower chord of the roof truss of the steel structure building warehouse workshop. It is located in the plane of the lower chord of the roof truss and is arranged along the full length of the house. It also forms a parallel chord truss with cross diagonal bars and vertical bars. Its end vertical bars are the lower chords between the end segments of the roof truss. The bottom chord longitudinal horizontal brace and the bottom chord transverse horizontal brace together form a closed support frame to ensure that the steel structure warehouse building roof structure has sufficient horizontal stiffness.

4. vertical support

The vertical support is located in the same bay of the horizontal support of the upper and lower chords to form a parallel chord truss with a span length of the space between the roof trusses of the steel structure workshop. Its upper and lower chords are the vertical rods supported horizontally by the upper and lower chords respectively, and its end vertical rod is the vertical rod (or diagonal web member) of the roof truss. The form of the vertically braced central web member is determined by the height span ratio of the braced truss. Generally, the form of W-shaped or double cross diagonal members is often used. The web member section can be single angle steel or double angle steel T-shaped section.

5. Vertical supports shall be provided for every 4 ~ 6 roof trusses along the longitudinal direction of the plant to ensure the stability of the roof trusses during installation.

The tie bar is in the bay without transverse support, and the adjacent plane roof truss is connected by tie bar. Tie bars are usually arranged along the longitudinal length of the building at both ends of the roof truss of the warehouse workshop of the steel structure building, at the upper and lower chord nodes with vertical support positions, as well as at the ridge and skylight side columns. The tie bar provides lateral support for the upper and lower chords of the roof truss. Therefore, if necessary, intermediate tie bars should be added at a certain distance according to the requirements of controlling the slenderness ratio of these chords. For purlin roof, purlin can also be used as tie bar.
