Canglong Group provided a high-low span steel warehouse solution for its Canadian client. The project utilizes a combined high-low span structure, connecting a double-sloped main building with a single-sloped structure of approximately half the height of the main building on one side, creating a unified whole. This approach meets diverse spatial needs while making more efficient use of building area and structural system.
The main building features a double-sloped roof structure, connected on one side by a single-sloped structure approximately half the height of the main building. The two parts are structurally connected to form a complete building.
This high-low span design allows for spatial division based on the actual functions of different areas. For example, the higher main space can be used for primary storage, while the lower side can be used for auxiliary storage, equipment areas, or other functional spaces.
Compared to simply constructing a building with a uniform height, the high-low span structure allows for more flexible building space while avoiding the need to design the entire building to be the same height to meet localized needs.

The main structural beams and columns utilize wider cross-section H-beams to provide reliable load-bearing capacity for the main building spaces. The lower, single-slope structure uses narrower cross-section H-beams, rationally configured according to its actual span and load requirements.
This differentiated structural design does not simply use the same specifications for all components, but rather matches them according to the span, height, and load conditions of different areas. By rationally configuring component specifications, structural design requirements are met while avoiding unnecessary material usage, making the overall structure more economical and rational.
The project's roof purlins uniformly use galvanized C-beams. C-beam purlins primarily support the roof cladding system and form a complete structural system with the main H-beam frame.
Galvanizing improves the corrosion resistance of the steel components' surface, reducing maintenance needs during long-term use, making it particularly suitable for warehousing projects with high durability requirements.
Both walls and roofs utilize single-layer corrugated steel sheets. This solution is lightweight, easy to install, and highly efficient in construction, while meeting the basic enclosure requirements of typical warehouse buildings.
Depending on the overall project function and local environmental conditions, the single-layer metal sheets can be integrated with appropriate roof slopes, flashing, gutters, and sealing joints to form a complete building envelope system.
