Irregular steel house begin construction for American client

Under the scorching South Carolina sun, an irregular structure, 80 feet long, 40 feet wide, and 10 feet high, rises from the ground. This is a custom steel house project designed by Canglong Group for an American client. Unlike traditional rectangular structures, this house, due to site constraints and client requirements, features a design with one side elevated and the other lowered, placing higher demands on structural stability.

As the core contractor for the project, Canglong Group provided a one-stop steel structure solution throughout the entire process. From preliminary site surveys and customized structural design (using an H-beam steel column system to accommodate irregular load distribution), to precise material delivery (all steel is certified to ASTM A572/A36 standards and painted to resist corrosion in South Carolina's humid and hot climate), and finally to construction guidance, the Canglong team, through an integrated design, production, and installation approach, has overcome the structural challenges of the irregular building.

The project is currently in the critical main construction phase. To ensure the overall rigidity of the irregular structure, the roof purlins are laid vertically. Each purlin is connected to the steel columns using Canglong's high-strength bolting solution, capable of withstanding the 120 mph winds common in South Carolina's coastal areas (equivalent to an EF2 tornado).
